we continue to value Bass Wolfson Pediatrics.
Took my son's symptoms seriously even when I was skeptical, and landed on just the right diagnosis. so helpful.
I brought my 3 kids in because 2 of them were sick. I asked the provider to add on a med check to the walk in visit to avoid having to come back a couple days later with all the kids again for a med check. i could see the waiting room was empty and was told 2 doctors were handling walk-ins. Several staff members told me they would not do a med check at a walk in, which I accepted even though it seemed nonsensical to me. Finally, Dr. Chianese told me she could do the med check since nobody else was waiting to see a doctor. I want her to know I appreciate her for being flexible and human. Policies exist for important reasons, but sometimes it's ok to be flexible in certain circumstances. Her flexibility meant I didn't have to take all three little kids back to the doctor a couple days later for another 10 minute appointment.
The physician walked into the room and did not even introduce herself first - she quickly got down to business discussing my son's medical history and performing his exam. She answered my questions, but she seemed uncomfortable throughout the encounter and rushed through the appointment. I don't think my son's health suffered from this quick visit, but this is my first child and was his first newborn visit so I would have appreciated if she had taken a bit more time with us to complete his exam, talk with my husband and I, and answer any questions we had.
This doctor did not diagnose my son properly and just gave me a script to get a chest X-ray when my child felt dizzy during the office examination.
the doctor is awesome and always gives us perfect advice
love dr chianese and the whole team!
My provider did not give me a full explanation of what was going on. After diagnosing me with vasovagal syncope, the only advice I was given was to lie down when I feel myself starting to pass out. Then my provider started to make assumptions of why I was experiencing vasovagal syncope and suggested that I see a therapist (I have never had any mental health issues or given someone a reason to believe so). Finally, when discussing the results of the anemia test that was taken twice she said that I had a red blood cell count that was higher than normal. She claimed that this could be polycythemia but didn?t explain what this was. It took me going home and checking the internet to realize that this could be a form of cancer. Obviously, this sent me into a panic, however, after going to the hospital to do more tests, I learned that the original test was incorrect. No one should have to go through the scare that I went through.
excellent: took time to allow my toddler to relax and be comfortable with her.
Very attentive and intuitive.
this doc seemed nervous and not very thorough. it turns out my son has HFM disease and she barely looked in his mouth even though I said he was complaining his mouth hurt and despite there being wax in his ear she did not clean it and wasn't able to verify for certain if his tube was still in place.
My child seemed to connect with Dr.Chianese, which is important at this age.
first time seeing this doctor and she didn't even introduce herself when she entered the room. it was an awkward encounter
she was so thorough and patient
Dr. Chianese is a wonderful doctor. She is caring and thoughtful. She talks to my child and not to me during visits. She had read my child's medical history so carefully before our first meeting. I was so impressed with her thoughtfulness and attention to my child.
We are new to Pittsburgh. I was worried about choosing a new doctor for my son. His old doctor was great. Dr. Chianese exceeded all expectations and I was very happy with our visit.
Only good things! Dr. Chianese is a great listener, knowledgable, and provides practical tips that are always helpful.
She went above and beyond. Covered the well visit, but also made the time for my additional concerns. She was very thorough and thoughtful. We had a wonderful visit.
I would not like to see this provider again.
my kids really like Dr. Chianese!
Love this doctor!! Takes time to listen to all concerns and very sympathetic and understanding with difficult topics.
your practice is the best and I I'm proud your practice is great
Dr. Chianese is methodical and compassionate with my daughter who doesn't like doctors' visits.
even though my child didn't want to cooperate they were very understanding and provided the care that was needed.
She seemed very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had and gave suggestions for cluster feeding.
this is an excellent doctor!
our doctor never makes us feel rushed and always seems to enjoy seeing our daughter. we really appreciate that
Dr. Chianese, is a WONDERFUL doctor and human being. I am so happy I brought my daughter to see her in this stage of my daughters life. I asked her to check into a medical situation my daughter may be facing & she stepped up & gave me the answers I needed to help my daughter and guide her in good health & a good life. God has lead us to yet another angel in our life's. We are so lucky to have been lead to and so thankful for Dr. Chianese! I love her personality!!!
I've always loved going to the doctor here. Now that I'm 18 I will have to go to another doctor and hopefully I like them just as much.
We love Dr Laura. First time with Dr Jennifer and she was great.
