My daughter has seen Dr Thakkar several times in the last two years due to an illness and has been nothing short of amazing. She is thorough in both her explanations and medical decision making while also kind and extremely approachable with questions/concerns. I trust that my daughter is in good hands.
Dr. Thakkar is - without question - the best doctor I've ever met. Seriously. I didn't know a doctor could be this great (thorough, explained things perfectly, great personality, highly intelligent, high emotional intelligence). She is exceptional.
very through, made sure we understood everything. explained care plan and reasons for tests that were ordered. actually listened to me and did a hands on exam.
I very much appreciated the doctor seeing me so quickly as a new patient. She spent a lot of time with me to u defat and my medical background and provide a dx and a plan of care. I have had a long two years of testing with a different non upmc doctor that I have left
all good and very friendly!
very friendly and helpful. She described all possible courses of treatment and why she was recommending a particular one
Really liked Dr. Thakkar. She spent adequate time with us and was very thorough.
I had a very nice care from the provider.
She has a heart of gold and gave me a wonderful list of referrals closer to where I live.
We love Dr. Thakkar!
She is a very good doctor
I know this is a busy place that's why we had to wait she did have him do an eeg that day to save us a trip were 3 hrs away. thank you
Dr Thakkar was terrific. She was knowledgeable, thorough and kind. We left feeling as though we had a much better understanding of our daughter's condition and how to handle it. She was also great with our 12-yr-old.
She was very thorough and listened to all questions and concerns. She was wonderful with my moody child.
great experience, fast friendly and understandable.
Dr. Thakker as well as any of the PA's we have seen, or other neuro Doc's have taken the most amazing care of my daughter and we couldn't be happier with the care that she has received since she started seeing the neuro department a year ago.
Excellent, Five Star *****
Dr. Thakkar is very helpful, understandable, patient, and gentle. Both of my child and I like her very much.
everything was good, I really love that the Doctors will come to Johnstown so that parents don't have to make the trip to Pittsburgh.
It was a very good experience with the nurse and doctor.
Dr Thakkar is always honest and understanding even when we disagree.
no long waiting period great service
fantastic first visit. they were all great
Dr Thakkar demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and care with my daughter regarding her health concerns
Dr. Thakker is a wonderful doctor. I would recommend her to anyone. She listens and takes the time to explain things.
everyone was very knowledgeable and respectful. great visit and overall experience. my kids are new patients here and I'm glad I chose this office as my kids PCP and all other care.
Both resident and provider were very emphatic and compassionate. Thank you!
Thankful they got every test done same day so we didn't have to drive 2 hrs again.
Dr. Thakkar really listened to my daughter's concerns. She is so kind and easy to talk to, and I appreciate the time she spent with us.
It is disappointing that no on from office calls when results of testing are in. My child's pediatrician notified us.
she was amazing! we couldn't of asked for a better provider. she was so kind and very detailed at explaining things to us.
DR Thakkur is wonderful. Very easy to talk to and very personable. It is always a joy to see her.
We will not return to this health care provider. My daughter was in tears when we left, feeling frustrated about her symptoms and feeling as though she still had no clear diagnosis. The Doctor seemed completely unaffected by my daughter's emotional response. She did not even ask her why she was crying. To me, that aspect of care is very important. I appreciate the Dr.'s medical knowledge, but I want to feel that the Dr. is invested in my daughter's care on an emotional level as well.
