Very kind and extremely helpful in going over things and better explaining on the things both myself and husband were unsure of. THANK YOU!! :)
She is absolutely wonderful!!! We will miss her greatly!!!
Kirsten is amazing, an insanely patient with my VERY difficult child. I am sad that she will be leaving the practice.
We have only seen Dr. Walther (9 months). She is an excellent NP. She listens and takes everything I say seriously. My 9 year old son and I are very sad to see her go. we're hoping that our next doctor is just as good as her.
she is very relatable and always puts herself in my sons situation and takes into consideration the emotional stress of diabetes.
Kirsten Walther is great and makes us all feel at ease. Very knowledgeable and related well with my daughter.
I like her she explains everything very well to myself and my child and always has time to answers questions very friendly and good with my child
Kirsten is an excellent provider! Wait times could be improved, but I appreciate the time she spends with me to address my concerns.
Kirsten Walther is a great provider. She listens and is very knowledgeable in diabetes care. my only compliant is that we are typically in the office for an hour and a half when we go (we see a diabetic education/ nutritionist, social worker , and then the doctor). just takes very long and my child gets inpatient
Kirsten is always wonderful!
provider was knowledgeable and personable.
children's hospital of Pittsburgh's endocrinology team are amazing!
I was very impressed with the doctor, dietician and social worker that we saw! They were incredibly helpful and made things much easier for our family.
Dr Walther is amazing, and I was sad to find out that she will be leaving next year. I have nothing but good things to say about her, she does great with my daughter who is insanely difficult.
Always takes interest in what my girls are doing and what else is going on in their life.
so far everyone we have had contact with has been amazing and so helpful to us thank you!!
this provider was so helpful. she took her time with us and answered numerous questions vey helpful
very helpful and wanting to take care of the issue
This provider is very kind, helpful, and informative.
We absolutely love Dr Kristen Walther! I feel we get wonderful diabetes care and that age truly cares for my daughter's health. She is always helpful and listens to our input.
we continue to travel over three hours just to have our daughters care at upmc Pittsburgh. there are closer places but we truly value the care we receive here, and will continue to travel here for her appointments.
Kiersten is very thorough in her care. She takes time to listen to her patients and always treats them with respect.
The Dr. was pleasant and I feel we received excellent care.
Kirsten is always great patient and understanding
We absolutely loved Kirsten Walther. She spent a good amount of time with us and she was kind and very knowledgeable about diabetes. Her advice & instructions were easy to understand and she cared about our input.
we love Kirsten Walther. she is always able to split her time between playing with our 7 year old son to make him feel comfortable and planning what to next with his diabetes management with me and my husband.
I cannot give enough positive feedback for Kirsten Walther. She is knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. My daughter truly enjoys seeing her and feels very comfortable discussing her health and her Type 1 diabetes with Kirsten. She respects Kirsten's opinion and never feels judged or put on the defensive. Working with Kirsten is truly collaborative and makes herself accessible if needed between visits. She really knows how to work with and relate to children, particularly at this pre-teen age that can be difficult. We are very happy with the care that our daughter receives.
We had to wait over an hour to see this provider and then had to have my child's blood work done during the appointment because they closed at 4 and he needed it done before that. Our appointment time was at 2:15. He missed half a day of school for this appointment, we were there 15 minutes early as instructed and then had to wait an exceptionally long time. This is a different provider than we normally see and we have never had to wait that long previously in the 3 years of going to Diabetes clinics, even when we went to the main hospital campus.
This was our first time seeing Kristin Werther and I was very happy with the visit. she is not who we normally see but if they ever scheduled us with her in the future I would be happy to see her again. (Also, I hardly ever fill these surveys out because I'm generally not satisfied with our endocrinology appointments. I filled this one out because I thought she deserves to know that she's doing a great job with her patients).
Love going to see her with my child. Always listens and is friendly, kind and caring
Kirsten was awesome!
Today was the first time we saw Kirsten Walther. (We usually see Dr. Viswanathan) She was absolutely amazing! She spent a long time in our room with our son. Kirsten brainstormed WITH us and respected our opinions. She took our 10 year old son's thoughts and suggestions seriously and did an awesome job explaining things so that he understood them. She was very patient with our son. Kirsten was a joy to work with and offered some great suggestions for our son's health. We hope to see her again!!!
I thought the appointment went well and doctor explained things in a way you could understand
Excellent care was provided! Our visits to UPMC East are very positive!
she is excellent
Kirsten is friendly, knowledgeable and my daughter feels very comfortable with her. I am a nurse myself and I think she is the best. Wouldn't change a thing
the doctor was wonderful and explained everything we needed to do for my daughter.
the doctor made my daughter feel very comfortable, spoke clearly and with sensitivity, talked about both shot term and long term options.
This provider was very good.
Kiersten was very informed and had read my daughter's chart before entering the room. She has been the most professional and helpful endocrinologist we have seen thus far in this practice.
Very impressed with the care we received on October 11, 2018. Very friendly, thorough and courteous staff in all areas!
I cannot say one negative thing about Kirsten Walther. She is patient, knowledgeable, kind and relates to my child and I in a relaxed manner that makes going to the endo a great experience. We couldn't be more pleased with the care she provides.
this provider is awesome. she's always so good with my daughter and makes her feel very comfortable!!! great bed side manor!!
Her patience with my child is phenomenal. And her recommendations are provided is a way that is nonjudgmental which I appreciate greatly!
Emily is always treated with kindness, understanding and encouragement at every visit!!
Kirsten is frankly one of the most caring and knowledgeable providers that my daughter has ever seen. She is bright, kind and patient and connects very well with my child. She is always willing to discuss concerns and work with my husband and I to ensure that we have all of the tools needed to keep our daughter in great health. I cannot recommend her hightly enough. She is outstanding and that is why we make the 3 hour trip for the check ups.
Kristen did an excellent job
very nice; good experience
promptly taken back and seen. clear explanations.
Kristen is a godsend to our family. Even though I (patient's mother) have had Type 1 for many years, she is able to help us navigate these more difficult pre-teen blood sugar flucuations. Also she is so wonderful with our daughter on a personal level. Our daughter trusts her and feels comfortable sharing her feelings and concerns with Kristen. Kristen is clearly very intelligent, knowledgeable and cares very much for your young patients. She is a wonderful health care provider.
