dr otaibi is wonderful and always does a fantastic job in caring for our daughters eye care needs
She was very personable!
she is amazing. the surgery didn't provide the results we were looking for but the way she acted and cared about my daughter was awesome. She gave us three possible solutions and explained all in great detail. I'm pleased and feel 100 percent about her treating my daughter.
acted quickly to get me seen for what she thought was serious
During this visit and after, I was disappointed with the my interactions with Dr. Otaibi. She appeared rushed and did not explain the course of action for my son well. When I asked questions, she repeated the same information and did not answer my questions. It took several attempts at rewording my questions before she somewhat answered them. Even then, she told me that she did not want to discuss possibilities at this time. She also stated that she would call me later in the day to discuss the course of action for my son's care. She did leave a voicemail. I attempted to call the office, and two days later, I received a call from a different ophthalmologist, who stated she would pass my message onto Dr. Otaibi. At this time, four business days after my son's appointment, I am still waiting for her to return my call.
dr Sara is great we will miss her
we had a good experience with Dr. O'Taibi. she is kind and encourages the child to follow through with their vision plan, without being judgmental.
Sara is an excellent provider. she will be deeply missed and was an asset to the office
we weren't happy about the amount of time spent in the office. our scheduled appointment was for 2:00 pm and we weren't seen until 6:00 pm.
very compete and thorough exam
Dr. Otabi was very behind schedule and seemed rushed to get through our visit.
we are very pleased with the doctor. she was very informative , thorough and had a wonderful personality .
Dr. Sara Otaibi is such a wonderful, happy and nice person. Everytime we visit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to see ophthalmology we look forward to seeing her as she listens attentively to our questions and concerns. We really appreciate how much she cares about our twin boy's health. She has always been very polite and gentle every visit we attend.
I really appreciate the knowledge and professionalism of the provider and staff.
The wait for the doctor was 3 hours. the doctor claims she is overbooked and the only doctor working the office. THIS IS A CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL...IT IS UNACCEPTABLE!
I LOVE THIS DR THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT THEY WAY OVER BOOK THIS DR
The only bad comment I have was that my son had to have drops to dilate his pupils and we were told that we would be waiting in the waiting room for 20 minutes. we literally had to wait for an hour and 35 minutes. I have a very hyper 2 year old so that was hard to keep him still plus I had my 4 week old with me. I wouldn't mind waiting but don't tell your patients that you're going to only be waiting 20 minutes. I know you book up super quick but maybe don't book so many patients so the wait time isn't so crazy long.
we alway have a great experience out there the staff is great
The wait time was horrible. we had a 12:45 appointment and left at 2:25 without completing the appointment.
Dr. Otaibi is an excellent physician. She always takes the time to discuss any changes in treatment regarding my daughter's care. We are lucky to have Dr. Otaibi!
we were put in a waiting room and left for 40 minutes. my son has ADHD and autism. it was difficult keeping him from touching all your expensive equipment. it would have been better to have left us in the waiting room. also 2 hours seems a little long for a routine eye exam.
My child's treatment went very well as usual
Dr. Otaibi and her staff are amazing. I would want no one else but her taking care of my son!
We waited for 2.5 hours in the waiting area to be seen. The registration staff were kind and even gave us snacks. After this long wait, we were finally able to see Dr. Otaibi and she gave us my son's test results that were all negative. I feel this could have been done over the phone and saved my time, my son missing a day of school, and a $50 copay. Also she ended up referring us to another physician at Children's Akron Hospital. Very unsatisfied and unfortunate to say the least.
The wait time is always long, otherwise I am satisfied with my child's care.
I've never met a doctor so confident in her abilities. very caring and professional. explained everything in ways anyone could understand.
the Dr and staff are exceptional however the wait times are ridiculous, be held up at the Dr office for 4 and 5 I believe to be I'm called for especially with a very active young child.
We really like Dr. Otaibi, but we waited 4 hours past our appointment time to be seen by the doctor. Unfortunately, this may result in finding a new doctor.
It took us 4 hours to be seen . Dr Sara is a sweetheart , but the wait time was completely ridiculous.
The provider was more than adequate for the visit attended. The only downside to the entire experience was the wait time. Our appointment was for 12:30 and we were not seen until 1:30. We arrived to the office at 11:45 to try to be early and were informed that the doctor wasn't even going to be onsite until at least 12:15. I feel that for the care to be effective, the provider should not be overwhelmed with a schedule that is impossible to stay on time for. There were televisions in the waiting room that deemed that the doctor was "On time" which was clearly not the case. I had a 7 month old and a 5 month old (the patient) with me and to be in the office for a total of 3 hours was ridiculous. I actually discussed moving to a different practice with the doctor in the room.
This was the most thorough eye exam my child has ever had. I really appreciated their persistence to get proper results.
very good doctor. she answered any questions that we had.
Dr. Otaibi is very knowledgeable and I believe provides good care, but her explanations to parents are not always clear.
We really like Dr. Otaibi and have been seeing her for years. However, the wait times at this office are just absurd. I understand that she spends time with each patient, but the schedule should be made to allow for longer appointments. We waited a couple hours at this visit but have waited upwards of 4 hours more than one time in the past.
We did not have a long waiting room wait. We were taken to the first room, quickly examined and then taken to a room to wait for the Dr. We watched the entire Nemo movie while we waited for the Dr to come in the room. Once with us, she did not seem to know my son's complicated history; she expected my 2yr old to be able to match letters from a TV screen onto a paper; I did not feel I had her complete concentration at times when I would talking about my son's history and problem; she did not seem to remember some of the facts and history I did give her and would ask questions that I would have to repeat the information. It was disappointing to have to wait for 90mins just to spend 10 mins with her that were very unsatisfying.
Dr. Otaibi is phenomenal. She is caring and kind, extremely professional, and very passionate about what she does. She is the very best, and anyone would be lucky to have her as their doctor. She is extremely thorough in her exams and answers any question you may have.
I feel patients and family should leave having a clear understanding it their condition and that doesn't always happen.
This was the first time this provider met with my son. She made him feel comfortable during the eye exam and listened to my concerns.
everything was great had to wait for awhile dr was delayed but i was informed of this
i did not agree what the Dr. said in regard to tx for my child. i felt the visit was rushed after we waited over 2 hrs long in the office.
Dr. Otaibi was wonderful and I feel like she's finally the correct physician to help my daughter. She wants to figure out her diagnosis and she gave us a lot of information and gave us hope that there may be more than we can do to help my daughter see well.
The past 2 years have been a medical roller coaster for my daughter and my family. The doctors at UPMC Children's have been an amazing system of support. Dr. Otaibi is a strong part of her care team that we feel very comfortable with. She is very approachable, spends time teaching about our concerns, & someone we trust.
Dr. Otabi is wonderful. She is always caring and makes me feel comfortable with everything we've had to do with our child.
By the time we got in to see Dr is was after business hours. Staff was very polite and helpful with 2 yr old who sat waiting for hours. Dr Sarah didn't rush us and talked to us in length about surgery. Very nice and made us comfortable and informed about surgery.
Dr is very caring and answers any questions.
Dr Otaibi is an eye specialist. This survey referred to general care not specialty.
dr Sara otaibi isn't AMAZING and LOVE her, however every time we have been there the office is always WAY over booked and the wait time/ overall time we are there for us BEYOND ridiculous and unnessary and for that reason will be looking for some place else.
she's good Doctor, it just took too long to see her in the office we waited 3 hours
We were kept waiting in the waiting room for an hour!! Then in the exam room, we waited a half hour just for dialating drops to be put in his eyes! Endless waiting for just a little time with the doctor. This was not worth it, we will be looking for other eye doctors!
This office has too long of a wait time. I have three children come to see opthamologists at this office, each being seen every six months due to their needs. I am seriously considering finding a new provider because of the wait time. We waited an hour and a half to be seen yesterday. Two weeks ago I waited an hour and a half as well, just to be seen. One appointment was in the afternoon, but the other one was at 9:45 am. The appointment yesterday lasted about 5 minutes. There are too many patients being booked too close together. When I asked the receptionist about the wait time, she said that the wait times are because they see children and the children are not always being cooperative. I have six children and have been taking them to many different medical appointments for a very long time. I never have to wait like I do at this office.
We've always had a good experience with this Dr she is awesome and knows how to make the kids feel comfortable
Dr. Otabi was very kind and patient with my child. She was very informative and helpful. excellent Doctor!
wait times are awful, otherwise great
the wait time was way too long . my sons appointment was for 1:15pm and we didnt leave until 5:45. he was exhausted and it made it extremely hard to cooperate with testing needed for his eyes. but the technicians who were directed to take picture of his eyes by doctor, indicated he was too young for this test. he was scared and I was stressed thinking he needed the picture to confirm nothing was wrong with pigment in his eye. I became very overwhelmed and worried during this appointment, and at the end it still felt unresolved.
Daughter was given drops for an eye exam in the exam room. we were told they would take a few minutes to take effect and we were sent to the waiting room. After 45 minutes of waiting we expressed concern to the receptionist that we had another doctor appointment in an hour. The receptionist checked with the doctor and said my daughter would not be seen for at least another 45 minutes. This would have amounted to 90 minutes to be examined after drops were put in eyes. We had to leave and my daughter never got her exam. We live two hours away
Dr. O is the bomb. She is amazing and should get a raise.
the doctor is always 2-3 hours behind, also they didn't even keep us updated and the doctor running behind. didn't offer any snacks . and the receptionist was very rude when ask to check how far behind the doctor is. also they were mia when checking out .
had to wait 1hr and 15 minutes just to be taking back to a room.
great experience for my 7yo, they made it a very comfortable and pleasant time for her.
the wait was wayyy to long! I have a one year old, it's impossible to keep him entertained for 4 hours. I saw the doctor for 10 mins
She is a very informative doctor. She always takes time to listen and shows she cares about patient.
Was sent to another room for testing. Had to wait another hour to see doctor when we came back.
my regular eye doctor left this office and the new eye doctor wasn't as good as far as she didn't do as extensive exam as dr. lope did
Dr. Otaibi is great always pleasant and treats us with courtesy and respect.
To schedule a patient EVERY 6 MINUTES for this provider is RIDUCULOUS! Our appointment was 11am, we did not see the Dr. assistant until 11:40am - the assistant put eye drops in the patient's eyes at noon and said it would take approx. 20 minutes to dilate, which then we were expected to see the Dr. We did not see the Dr. UNTIL 2pm! The Dr. took her time with us, which was great, but we did not leave her office until 2:30pm. So for whomever decided to schedule a patient every 6 minutes is insane! These children are ALL special needs and obviously take more than 6 minutes for an office visit. Would YOU LIKE TO SIT IN A DR. OFFICE FOR 3 1/2 HOURS FOR AN APPOINTMENT? My guess would be no!
Dr. Otaibi is phenomenal. I feel very fortunate to have her as the doctor for my son. She is extremely thorough and I feel very confident in her diagnosis.
it took 4 hours for an appointment that should have taken 30 minutes. despite iPads in the waiting room for children, this is an obserd amount of time to expect of children and adults alike. this is the only reason I would not recommend the office. the care was good, but to expect people to wait that long is unacceptable. the mood in the waiting room was shared by many, and receptionists were long gone for the day before we were seen - nobody there to help if needed.
For us it is the distance that we have to drive to see Dr. Otaibi. But due to my child's rare medical condition we make the drive.
Dr. Otaibi is a wonderful doctor. She is very thorough and efficient. I would recommend her to others.
We love Dr Otaibi, she is very professional and caring towards patient and family. She takes the time to explain things to the patient and family. awesome doctor.
The wait time at this office is always absurd! 2.5 hours spent with a 6 year old for a check up should not be the norm!
The provider is very good. My experience with extremely long wait times was AWFUL.
The doctor was in a hurry, did not even take time to check eye pressure. I would like change the provider.
Dr. O is the bomb.com and a bag of chips. I wouldn't trust my son with anyone else. We are so lucky to have her available. She's the best.
