I really like Dr Kapp's demeanor with children.
The doctor was text book and inexperienced in the sense she could not think outside the box to my daughters individual situation in regards to her puberty status and epilepsy care. She tried giving myself parenting lessons and did not listen to our situation. Talked down to us about getting my daughter more sleep, when my daughter takes all honor high school classes, dances 17 hours a week and refused to give us a medical note we need for my daughter's 504 at school in relation to arriving late to school on mornings she needs to get more sleep. Sleep- which helps my daughter manage her epilepsy.
she's good at explaining the things
Always fantastic!
Dr. Kapp was very attentive during the visit. My toddler was difficulty throughout the visit and she was understanding and did the best she could to make the visit comfortable for my child. Appreciated her patience.
Dr. Kapp was very patient, professional and caring to both my baby boy and myself as a mother.
May daughter loved this doctor. As a teenager, she felt the doctor was easy to talk with and really connected with her.
I think very highly of Doctor Kapp and feel fortunate to have her as my daughter's primary care provider. She never shows rush or urgency and sincerely listens to my child and shows empathy and understanding.
Dr. Kapp was very friendly and kind with our son. I was disappointed by her lack of knowledge. For example, she recommended that we cut our son cold turkey off of a medicine that we have been told he must be weaned off of gradually in order to avoid negative side effects. I am glad we had talked to other doctors before this and knew that!
The doctor was great; however, we waited an extremely long time to see her. we were earlyfor our appointment (over 30 minutes) and we waited over 45 minutes past our appointment time to be taken into the exam room. after an additional wait, the doctor arrived. I was very disappointed in the disregard for the value of our time and the lack of communication about the delay. No one even mentioned the wait time.
Dr. Kapp continues to be an amazing and trusted care provider. She is thorough and kind.
she was wonderful and very patient. i would highly recommend her
The doctor was very attentive and answered all of my questions in a way I could understand. She spent time with my daughter and was not trying to rush through the appointment.
This was a slightly confusing visit because our daughter had a positive TB skin test. So there was what seemed to be some confusion and alarm at the clinic about what this meant and what to do next. We had an extended period waiting for clinic staff to come back to us with more information, and the clinic staff acted a little spooked which I think made us more nervous than we needed to be. In the end we were referred to visit 2 other medical facilities for followup tests. The good thing is that Dr. Kapp took the time to consult with an infectious diseases specialist by phone in order to ensure the correct evaluation and recommendations were passed. She also gathered additional relevant history from us (travel history, TB status of relatives, etc) in an effective and empathetic way. The bad thing is that obtaining the necessary followup required traveling to two other facilities, neither of which was particularly close. I understand though that the clinic is a smaller primary care clinic and can't provide all specialty services, and we do appreciate that it is close to home. The clinic sent our daughter out wearing a surgical mask out of an abundance of caution, and they were kind enough to give her little brother one as well so that she didn't feel like the odd one out. We appreciated it.
I just wish they would have done more to rule out other illnesses. We were not satisfied with our visit and took my child to convenient care right after we left his apt at your office. They spent more time with him and did some tests to rule out illnesses.
she just seemed judgy and that she knew everything. almost like she thought all children the same. we will continue to see our normal provider and hope we don't have to use this one again :/
Dr. Kapp was very thorough and took my daughter's issues very seriously. She even asked to do a re-check - which doesn't seem to happen much in this day and age. I was impressed.
We love Dr. Kapp!
I liked that she took the time to try and give me ideas on how to best treat my son. she even gave me a resource I could use to get an opinion from a dermatologist faster
Dr. Kapp is amazing. She is always great with children and making them feel comfortable with their appointment.
Dr. Kapp was very helpful regarding my sons need. I would certainly request to see her again!
Dr. Kapp was very good with my son. She is very personable and easy to talk to!
Dr. Kapp was very patient with my son and listened to any concerns I had.
This was our first visit with this provider (walk in hours) and I liked her very much!
all the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful
Great provider! Glad I found her.
Dr. Kapp was very authentic and showed genuine concern, as if it were her own child. Very much appreciated!
love all the staff there. they are always excellent
we waited 45 mins for the Dr to arrive in our roomDr questioned twice about mosquito bites on my child's face, as if he hit his head, after I explained twice they were healing bug bites. Her response was "you know you can put hydrocortisone on itchy bug bites". Really? I obviously care for my children and their comfort level, as we had medicine on them at that time.Just not warm and fuzzy, my oldest child was bothered by her lack of promptness, too.first time we ever experienced this...
She was a very nice doctor that listened to me with my concerns. I would highly recommended her to others.
I felt that the way that Dr. Kapp handled my daughters situation was not appropriate. I understand that my daughter had wax in her ears but digging at them for 15 minutes while she was screaming and crying was uncalled for. I feel as though it should not take that long to complete this process(as I've had it done with my daughter in the past). Also, I feel that the doctor should have taken notice to my daughters behavior and tried a different approach as she was clearly upset.
We have been very happy with the staff since our visit.
Dr. Kapp is a wonderful provider. She is great with children of all ages and is very thorough in her examinations.
Dr Kapp was excellent and personable.
the doctor had no idea what was going on with my daughter. We were told it was hand foot and mouth which it definitely was not. now we have no idea what is going on with het
the doctor was very nice and knowledgeable
Dr. Kapp is a gem! Sydney is always smiling and so pleasant to have caring for my daughter. Her bedside mannerisms and genuine kindness is always on point and very much appreciated! Thank you, Dr. Kapp!
Our experience with Dr. Kapp has been great. I am really glad she joined the practice and plan on having all my children see her.
Dr. Kapp was fantastic. Very thorough exam. She explained everything VERY well. I really appreciate all she had to share.
We waited 50 minutes once in room for MD to come in. It would have been nice if someone checked in on us and acknowledged the delay and let us know it would be a little longer, etc.
she wAs very friendly and helpful
This care provider saw our son for the first time to removal a staple in his head from an injury. She was very gentle and kind with him.
