The visit was pleasant and doctor talked in an easy to understand way.
Dr ward richardson was truly amazing to my family our son at 10 weeks old got very sick and needed emergency surgery on a strangulated hernia. I myself as the mother have been in healthcare for over eight years as a nurse and now a nurse practitioner so I have had my fair share of experiences with surgeons. This position was by far one of the kindest people I've ever met! My husband and I felt so confident and comfortable with him even with our check up he treated us just like normal human beings. In our eyes he truly saved our sons life! we are forever thankful to him! children's hospital is lucky to have him!
Dr. Richardson is exceptional. He used his sense of humor to discuss a topic that my daughter found uncomfortable which proved very helpful to her. He explained the procedure to both of us in detail. His staff rushed to care when she fainted after the procedure. The after hours doctor also was very helpful with the question I had regarding caring for the surgical site when one arose.
we see Dr. Richardson for both of my sons for their surgical needs. he is very nice and very knowledgeable. he is always up front and honest. he takes time to sit down and explain everything. I'm very happy with the care my sons have received from him
He spent a lot of time with us and was great at relating to our son.
I really appreciate that since her initial surgery at 2 days old, we have had consistant care and continuity with Dr. Richardson. It never feels like he is 'hurrying on' to the next patient, but always feels like he takes time to wait to make sure we don't have any additional questions or concerns- giving us time to process what we have discussed.
Our overall experience with the nurses and doctor's at Children's Hospital during this injury and follow-up care has been outstanding.
He was very courteous with us and answered all our questions, but was very hesitant to give us an answer regarding the time it will take for our daughter's final surgery. We completely understand that each patient is different and did not expect an absolute time frame, but a generalized time frame is all we need. This is so we can plan for time off of work and what to expect as best as we can. He did give us a generalized time, but took some effort to get it, but again, we know and understand that he can not know for sure till it is over.
friendly and quick
this was the first time meeting dr. Richardson - he was very friendly, helpful, personable, and made us feel very comfortable. we loved his snazzy attire - bow tie and LEGO cuff links. he took a lot of time with us and answered any questions we had. very patient.
Dr. Richardson is awesome. My daughter was so scared and was crying when he walked in the room. He showed concern and did what he could to make her comfortable and had a conversation with her to calm her down. he was extremely patient and very understanding. So thankful.
Dr. Richardson was knowledgeable and very pleasant during my daughter visit about her g-tube
The follow-up visit with the provider was excellent
Nice doctor, knowledgable, prepared
I felt that he didn't hear me out. Also when doing the exam he told my son twice that " it didn't hurt" it was just uncomfortable. I know my child and he can handle pain but if he is saying ow that hurts twice and trying to move his body back then clearly it hurts. I found it rude. Then we have to make an appointment for an ultrasound and was also told that the spots on his testicle could be stitches that was supposed to be dissolved when he had his surgery at children's hospital in Pittsburgh when he was a baby.
Dr. Richardson was attentive to my son's pain and issues he is experiencing. He spent the time and attention to talk to us and explain what the treatment for my son's issues are and even drew pictures for a visual presentation. Excellent doctor!
Dr.Richardson is the best!!!
Dr Richardson was excellent, he explained everything to me and was very personable.
Dr.Richardson is an excellent doctor. He really listens and always explains everything
Dr. Richardson was very helpful. He helped subdue many of our worries about my son's medical issue. He gave us confidence moving forward with what the next steps will be.
Dr. Richardson explained the course of action we had to take very clearly. He listened to all I had to say first, which was nice. He was very personable with my daughter and myself, and was not in a rush during our visit.
We thought Dr. Richardson was wonderful. He was very personable. He answered all the questions we had and I think our son is not as anxious as he had been about the idea of his upcoming hernia surgery.
Dr. Richardson was very personable and friendly - I really enjoyed visiting with him!
The care given was excellent
The people are really nice and sincere. I would recommend them to eveyone. The Dr takes time to go over everything. And explains everything very good also.
The Dr. was very thorough and made sure we didn't have any further questions prior to leaving.
always through, polite, reassuring, and honest
Dr. Richardson was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I often feel like we are not taken seriously as parents since we appear young. Most people do not understand the challenges we went through to get pregnant after years of trying and the struggles of infertility, they only see young people who have no clue what they are doing. Dr. Richardson never once made us feel that way. He talked about how scary your first baby is and put our minds at ease with our sons medical condition, telling him to just enjoy him and put this worry away for a while. He was so much more comforting than other doctor's we have seen who made what is likely a minor issue into a major one.
