Likes About UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh: Originally from Akron, Ohio, I lived as a New York City transplant for ten years as an undergraduate student at New York University and a medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During medical school, I participated in a five-year dual-degree program through which I earned my MD and Master of Science in Clinical Research. I was subsequently drawn to Pittsburgh for the ample clinical, research, and advocacy opportunities available through the residency training program at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP). In Pittsburgh, I found a city with a wealth of culture and community that I am now proud to call home. I wanted a fellowship program that would offer me the needed mentorship and support to advance my career as a clinician-researcher and innovator in the field of adolescent medicine. In the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at CHP, I have found these opportunities and more. As a fellow, I am scaffolded by an outstanding mentorship team that challenges me and continues to build my clinical and research skills. I was afforded the unique opportunity to pursue a PhD in Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh during my fellowship training for which I have received ample protected educational and research time and generous tuition and research funding support. I am looking forward to continued learning and growth as an advocate for adolescent and young adult health during my time at CHP.
