Infectious Diseases Fellowship
Welcome to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship. We strive to provide our fellows with well-rounded and flexible training to help them reach their clinical and academic goals. Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program features a diverse curriculum including clinical infectious diseases, transplant/immunocompromised ID, bench and basic science research, quality improvement, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, clinical epidemiology, and medical education.
We are very proud of our program, and we invite you to use this website to learn more about our Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.
The University of Pittsburgh offers a wide variety of research and career specific options:
- Degrees in clinical research (from certificate to PhD) can also be sought in the Institute for Clinical Research Education at the University.
- For fellows who see their future in academic clinical education, a Master’s or Certificate in Medical Education is available.
- A range of opportunities are available for learning bench research from world-renowned researchers at the University of Pittsburgh, many of whom are on the Children’s campus.
Limited funds are available for extension of the research activities of fellows to a fourth year of training in order to better prepare the fellow for an academic career. U.S. citizenship is not required for application to the fellowship.
