Hobbies/Interests: Biking, podcasts, ice cream, med-ed, trauma-informed care, writing, exploring outside with my dog

Travels/Languages: Camping road trips across the US and visiting family and friends in Germany and Colombia, most recently! I only speak English.

An Interesting Fact About Yourself: In college plays, I was cast as a grandma 3 times.

Why Did You Choose UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh: For me, UPMC felt like an ideal mix of strong categorical programs, and a supportive, relaxed Med-Peds community. Equally important was program leadership who are deeply invested in DEI. The strong medical education at Pitt, with the opportunity to learn from lots of faculty who have done a clinical educator fellowship was a huge draw. Ultimately, it was the kind and supportive people! On day 1 in Pittsburgh, I was greeted with move-in help and a pandemic gift bag (aka toilet paper, disinfectant, and snacks) and knew I was in the right place.
