An Interesting Fact About Yourself: One day, my fiancé and I plan to visit all of the lands: Iceland, Finland, New Zealand, Scotland, Switzerland, etc.!
More About Me: I knew going into medical school that I wanted to work with children with disabilities. After loving my neurology rotations and finding a mentor in a UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh NDD alumna, it became clear to me that a neurodevelopmental disabilities program was the perfect fit. The program here at UPMC Children's Hospital had the nicest group of residents and faculty, creating a supportive environment to pursue my interests. Just over a year in, I am so happy to have matched at UPMC Children's, where I have learned and grown more than I could have imagined. My fiancé and I (plus our dog and cat) love Pittsburgh, especially appreciating the beautiful views, exploring the diverse neighborhoods, and we've even grown to enjoy the sports!
Why Did You Choose UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh: I love working with children with special needs and the Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Residency Program here immediately attracted me. When I came for my interview, it was the first time I had been to Pittsburgh and I was impressed by the friendly, welcoming, and supportive environment of UPMC Children's and the city. I look forward getting to know Pittsburgh and the families that come to UPMC Children's over the next 6 years!
