An Interesting Fact About Yourself: During medical school, I adopted a seven-year-old Munchkin cat and a dachshund mix puppy.

More About Me: I grew up and went to medical school in St. Louis, Missouri. While I loved living in St. Louis, I was ready for a change of scenery when it came time to choose a residency program.  I met my significant other during the first month of medical school and we ended up couples matching. My partner and I looked at multiple programs in the area, but we instantly felt at home within the child neurology and psychiatry programs at UPMC. When looking at residency programs, my top priority was finding a program where I would be supported and my education would be made a priority, which I found at UPMC. I’ve felt incredibly supported since my first day as an intern. The child neurology and pediatrics programs here are full of attendings who love to teach, and there are multiple great teaching conferences for residents to attend. Not to mention, Pittsburgh is an incredibly beautiful as well as affordable place to live.

Why Did You Choose UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh: The program leadership, attendings, and residents are incredibly supportive and immediately made me feel at home within the program. Pittsburgh is a beautiful city and a great place to live.
