Career Goals: I'm not completely decided but I want to incorporate my pediatrics training into my future career, using some of my time for dedicated global health, and then dedicating the other portion primarily to inpatient neurology. I'm also interested in neuroimmunology.

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy reading, crafting, and kayaking. I love going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.

Travels/Languages: I’ve been lucky enough to travel to 13 different countries./I speak English, Arabic, and functional Spanish.

An Interesting Fact About YourselfI once kissed a stingray in the ocean.

More About Me: When picking a residency program, I really wanted to find a place where I felt I could be happy in many aspects of my life. I loved the local Coptic Orthodox Church I found here, the many parks with beautiful walking and hiking trails, the farmers markets and the local shops. I felt that I would always be able to find something to do outside of the hospital, and so far that's been true. Inside the hospital, I chose UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for because I knew I would be exposed to a high volume of neurologic cases and would feel prepared after graduation from residency/fellowship.

Likes About UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh: I loved the atmosphere here. Everyone seemed kind and the whole hospital felt very family oriented. In addition, I knew I would receive great training here and be well prepared for my future career. I also like the emphasis placed on community outreach.
