An Interesting Fact About Yourself: The reason I became interested in pediatrics and neurology was initially due to my own diagnosis of epilepsy. I had a chance to see the perspective of a patient and learned how important a role a physician can play in someone's life.

More About Me: I am originally from Colombia and Venezuela and came to the US when I was 9 years old. I lived in New Jersey until I moved to Pittsburgh for Residency. I was once going into microbiology, but when I was 20 years old, I was diagnosed with epilepsy and as a result switched to neurology. I was amazed by the city of Pittsburgh and the people that welcomed me at the hospital. The residents were helpful and inclusive during my interview. The faculty and staff also were welcoming and reaffirmed how important my role was to my patients and their families.
