Children's Hospital's History
|
|
For more than 120 years, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC has been a fixture in the Pittsburgh community. What began as a single cot endowed by Kirk LeMoyne to be used for children and infants at a local hospital, has grown since 1890 into a world-renowned children’s hospital regularly ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the nation.
This section of our website documents the rich history of the past 120 years — a history we continue to build upon today.
Check back frequently as we add to this part of our website.
If you have photos, artifacts or other historical memorabilia you would like to share with Children’s Hospital, please e-mail webmaster@chp.edu.
