Our Services
Collaboration with the Children's Home of Pittsburgh and Lemieux Family Center
The extra support you need, when you need it the most.
The Neonatal Neurocritical Care Unit at the Brain Care Institute receives special support services from The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center, which was founded in 1984 as Transitional Infant Care Hospital, or TIC. This special infant program was designed to help parents of:
- Babies who were born prematurely or whose medical conditions required a stay in a neonatal intensive care unit
- Full-term infants who may be receiving intravenous antibiotics or weaning from medications that make hospitalization necessary, but who don’t require neonatal intensive care
- Babies receiving hospice care
All parents and siblings are welcome to stay overnight and to participate in the care of their infant and to use all the services the Children’s Home offers. Please visit The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center for more information.
