Children
The Pediatric Radiology Department provides diagnostic imaging services for infants, children and teens. All diagnostic imaging modalities are available, including:

  • Conventional radiography
  • DEXA
  • Excretory urography
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Ultrasonography
  • Nuclear medicine (Molecular Imaging)
  • Computed tomography
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
    • PET/CT
  • Advanced MR imaging, including 3T, MR spectroscopy, diffusion tensor imaging
  • Interventional radiology
    • Angiography
    • Venography
  • Radiation Oncology

In addition, a full scope of interventional procedures is offered.

Prior to any interventional procedure, a detailed discussion with the interventionalist is recommended. The department welcomes consults and is available to discuss cases over the telephone or within the department.

Referral Requirements

Referrals are required from primary care physicians or other Children’s Hospital specialty services. Referrals for patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may require authorization from the insurance provider and primary care physician. All necessary referral and authorization forms must be received before the patient's visit. For accurate provider numbers or more information, please call

Referring physicians: Please provide the radiologist with details of clinical and other pertinent findings so the highest quality examination can be made.
