Description of Services

The Division of Pediatric Urology offers diagnostic evaluation and treatment of children with genitourinary disorders including hypospadias, bladder exstrophy, vesicoureteral reflux, undescended testis, hydronephrosis and other conditions. Complete urodynamic testing is available. A full range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services, including minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, are available for children with urologic, genital and neurovesical disorders.

Fellowship Program

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC's Division of Pediatric Urology offers a two-year fellowship program with an active basic science research laboratory. Learn more.

Referral Requirements

Referrals are required from primary care physicians or other Children's Hospital specialty services. Referrals for patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may require authorization from the insurance provider and primary care physician.
