Telemedicine Center
The Telemedicine Center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC enables more convenient and timely access to pediatric services than traditional in-person office encounters.
By leveraging video conferencing technology, Children's Hospital is able to seamlessly connect rural and outreach communities with our highly-skilled pediatric specialists. The need for telemedicine services can range from providing outpatient visits in a rural setting to remote training and education for nurses and physicians at a community hospital.
The Telemedicine Center is located on the second floor of the main hospital building on Children's Lawrenceville campus.
The May 2011 opening of the new Telemedicine Center is a key building block to future outreach efforts of Children’s Hospital to efficiently deliver specialty care to patients and families that currently have limited access to pediatric specialty services.
