Now you and your whole family can receive high-quality health care under the same roof. Through an exciting new partnership, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and UPMC Division of General Internal Medicine will care for children and adults at the new combined primary care center in Turtle Creek.
The Primary Care Center in Turtle Creek is affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, which means that resident physicians see patients under the close supervision of full-time faculty physicians. We provide comprehensive care for adults with all types of medical issues, and to children from birth through age 18. Our services include:
Upstairs from the Primary Care Center in Turtle Creek is the Children's Family Care Connection Center. This family support center offers a children's play area staffed by child development professionals. Parents find this to be a great convenience since visits for several family members can be done at one time. Children who do not have an appointment can play while waiting for their sibling or parent.
Sanjay Lambore, MD, is the medical director of pediatric services at the Turtle Creek site. A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Lambore is a physician in Children's Division of General Academic Pediatrics and at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC's newborn nursery. He is an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and he has received many professional and teaching awards. His research interests include pediatric HIV, infectious mononucleosis and sudden cardiac death in teenage athletes. He is involved in the pediatric asthma quality improvement project at the Turtle Creek location.
Reed Van Deusen, MD, received his medical degree and completed his combined internal medicine and pediatrics residencies at the University of Cincinnati. He returned to his native Pittsburgh and completed a two-year general internal medicine and pediatrics fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a master's degree in medical education. Dr. Van Deusen provides primary care to all members of the family and supervises medical students and residents at the Turtle Creek site. He also provides care at UPMC Montefiore, UPMC Shadyside and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
Shean J. Aujla, MD, completed her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Children's. She is a physician in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy and Immunology. She recently received the Pediatric Scientific Award at Children's. Her focus includes community asthma care, as well as asthma clinical research. Along with her staff at the Turtle Creek site, she will enhance the early diagnosis and treatment of children with asthma and increase patient, family and community awareness of the disease.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at least four hours prior to your scheduled appointment time so we may use the slot for another patient who needs to be seen. We will work with you to reschedule your appointment at a time that is convenient for you.
The Primary Care Center in Turtle Creek accepts most health insurance plans. Please check with your health insurance plan or with us to be certain that we accept yours. If your children do not have health insurance coverage, our social worker in Lawrenceville is available via telephone to assist you.
