Your First Visit to the Pediatric Pain Management Clinic

Treating pediatric chronic pain effectively requires thorough evaluations that are often time-consuming, which is why new patients can expect a 90-minute visit. The first visit includes assessments by each member of the team. After each team member has the opportunity to meet you, the team will meet to discuss and develop a plan of care that is specific to meet your needs.

Follow-up visits are approximately 30 minutes, but please keep in mind that time may depend on interventions and treatments. You may not need to see each member of the pain team for each visit, and follow-up appointments will depend on your individualized plan of care.
