Living with Asthma Program

Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis is proof that children with asthma do not have to sit on the sidelines. |
Don't let asthma sideline your child.
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC has teamed up with former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis, Giant Eagle Pharmacies, and the American Respiratory Alliance to spread the word about asthma diagnosis and treatment.
Asthma is a common condition, but in most cases it can easily be kept under control with medication and lifestyle adjustments.
These organizations believe that children with asthma should be able to live normal lives, participate in sports and other activities and sleep normally.
The Living With Asthma program educates parents, teachers and the public about the importance of testing for asthma, as well as how easily it can be treated.
Does your child have asthma? Answer our questionnaire to see if he or she should be checked by a pediatric asthma specialist.
