Creative and Expressive Arts Therapy: A Masterpiece of Hope

The Creative and Expressive Arts Therapy program at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC provides a holistic approach during your child's stay.;

The Creative and Expressive Arts team consists of two art therapists and two music therapists.

They use creative therapeutic treatment to help children and adolescents cope with:

  • Symptoms of their illness
  • Stress
  • Traumatic experiences

How Can Our Art Therapy Program Help Your Child?

Our therapists:

  • Tailor treatments to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of you and your child to help cope, heal, and find hope.
  • Offer personalized approaches to a child's traditional medical treatment, helping reduce fear, anxiety, and pain.
  • Work with you and your child to tell their story through music and art, creating a masterpiece of hope.;
