Hodgkin Disease Banking Study

Protocol Description

This study is a collection of information designed to help researchers better understand Hodgkin disease, how people respond differently to Hodgkin disease therapy, why Hodgkin disease sometimes comes back after treatment and how to identify problems caused by Hodgkin disease treatment. The goal is to collect and distribute tissue and blood samples obtained from people with Hodgkin disease that can be used now and in the future. The study is being carried out by the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), an international research group that consists of more than 200 hospitals, including Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates include boys and girls up through age 21 who have Hodgkin disease.
Boys: Up through age 21
Girls: Up through age 21

Requirements

With permission, tissue samples taken in the diagnosis or treatment of the participant’s condition will be preserved in the Hodgkin disease tissue bank.
Visits: None beyond normal clinical care.
Duration: Not applicable
