Focus with Friends

The Focus with Friends program provides your child with the necessary skills to help with attention and focus while interacting with their peers allowing them to foster important age appropriate social skills. Behavioral health specialists as well as certified speech and language pathologists will work with participants in the program. 

Who should participate?

School age children, ages 8 to 10 years old, who need assistance in building skills with focus and attention in order to more effectively interact with others. The group will benefit children who struggle with attention and focus, hyperactivity,impulsivity, or anxiety. 

What will they learn?

Participants will be working with certified speech language pathologists and behavioral health specialists. The program will help children with:

  • Meeting new people
  • Making friends
  • Taking turns
  • Using teamwork
  • Improving conversation skills
  • Expressing emotions effectively
  • Improving emotion regulation skills
  • Focusing and attending to task
