How You Can Help

Heart Institute at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

From directing a United Way contribution to the Heart Institute to hosting an annual picnic for the Heart to Heart support group, there are many ways to give to children with heart disease. We are forever grateful to the many donors who have given so generously over the years, and we know that our patients and their families will benefit greatly by your continued support.

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation

Nearly twice as many children die from Congenital Heart Defects in the United States each year than from all forms of childhood cancers combined, yet funding for pediatric cancer research is five times higher than funding for congenital heart defects. Support from the community and surrounding regions enables Children’s to continue to pioneer advanced treatment for pediatric heart disease.

Joining the Heart Institute Auxiliary is a meaningful way to help increase awareness and raise vital funds to help advance the care and research needed to create brighter futures. The Heart Institute Auxiliary offers several levels of involvement, from volunteering at fundraising events to becoming an ambassador to promote the Heart Institute within your community.

For more information on how you can become involved with the Heart Institute Auxiliary, contact Amy Rayman at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation at amy.rayman@chp.edu or 412-692-8954.
