Pulmonary Health Services and Centers at Children's Hospital

  • Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center — provides leading edge testing, treatments, and genetic counseling to children and adults with cystic fibrosis.
  • Pediatric Asthma Center — offers access to advanced asthma care to children in western Pennsylvania and beyond.
  • Pulmonary Exercise Lab — conducts exercise testing to assess children with lung, endocrine and other problems.
  • Pulmonary Function Lab — offers a wide range of tests to check lung and respiratory function in children.
  • Sleep Program — diagnoses and treats children with sleeping problems in a warm, kid-friendly environment.

Referral Requirements for Pulmonary Medicine Care at Children's

The Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy, and Immunology at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC requires referrals from primary care doctors or other Children’s Hospital specialists. Patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may need authorization from their insurance provider and primary care doctor.
