Join Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Transplant Services and the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE)
as we celebrate the gift of life throughout April to spotlight organ donation and encourage others to register as organ
donors. A single organ, tissue, and eye donor has the potential to save eight lives and help more than 50 people. All events
are free and open to past and present transplant recipients, living-donors, their loved ones, and hospital staff.
Donate Life t-shirts will be on sale during the month in recognition of Organ Donor Awareness Month. Employees may purchase the shirts through their Manager or Unit Director or by contacting Bernadette Ali at Bernadette.firstname.lastname@example.org or 412-692-7140. Celebrate the gift of life with Children’s Hospital. We encourage our transplant recipients to return to the hospital on Friday, April 27 to thank their health care team and staff who helped to give them a second chance at life. Transplant recipients will parade from the Atrium to inpatient units to show first-hand the importance of organ donation. Patients and families are asked to RSVP to 412-692-7140.
This event brings together transplant recipients and living donors to celebrate the ultimate gift of life. Children’s staff, transplant recipients, and donors will share their stories of hope. This event is by invitation only.
