 Camp Chihopi Packing List

This is a suggested list of clothing and supplies for camp. Please do not feel that you have to purchase any of the items on this list. It would also be helpful to mark each item with your child’s name or initials. Feel free to improvise and substitute, but please pack the basics! It’s best to pack older towels and clothes. Your children really just need old play clothes and comfortable shoes.

Your child should NOT bring iPods, iPads, cell phones, or electronic games to camp. These valuable items may be misplaced or lost. (Also, there won’t be any time to use them!) It is not necessary to bring money to camp since the facility does not have a camp store. Snacks will be provided several times a day.

On Thursday night for the Get-To-Know Activities, all campers are requested to wear their favorite Camp Chihopi T-shirt from a past year. If this is your child’s first year at camp, he/she can wear the 2015 T-shirt given at registration.

The theme for the Chihopi 2015 event on Saturday night is “Fiesta!” Although costumes (and accessories!) are optional, your child is invited to attend dressed for the theme. There may be a few human piñatas and chili peppers at the party! Don’t forget your maracas and sombreros!
