Life Experiences in Adolescents and the Development of Skills (LEADS) Study

Protocol Description

Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh are recruiting teens 12-15 and their parent/guardian for a study comparing two different kinds of therapy skills for feelings of depression.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 12-15 years of age
  • Feeling sad, down, blue, irritated, bored, unmotivated, or tired

Requirements

Study participation includes 3 in-person or remote visits over one month, and 3 remote follow up visits over 5 months. Study visits include interviews, questionnaires, computer-based activities that measure different types of behavior, and skill learning sessions.

Compensation

Yes — Participants will receive up to $240 (+ up to $50 in reimbursement for transportation costs).
