In collaboration with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, the UPMC hospitals of north central Pennsylvania are providing top-quality care to pediatric patients in their Emergency Departments (EDs).
Research shows that critically ill children have better outcomes when their local hospital is equipped to respond to pediatric emergencies. Working together with pediatric emergency medicine experts at UPMC Children's Hospital, the EDs at UPMC Williamsport, Muncy, Lock Haven, Wellsboro, and Cole give our medical staff the ability to provide each child with the four rights:
This means getting your child the best emergency care, whether at one of these community hospitals or at UPMC Children's if they need a transfer. We also can help facilitate their care — if needed — with UPMC Children's specialty providers, either in Pittsburgh, at a location closer to home, or via video visit.
Video visits are available through myCHP. Virtual pediatric urgent care is available 24/7 with a UPMC Children’s provider through UPMC Children's AnywhereCare.
