Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation Announces New Board Members

The Board of Trustees at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation have announced four new members this month.

Cindy Citrone is the founder and chief executive officer of the 33 Foundation. From investing in education to health and human service programs, the foundation is focused on examining the needs of communities and engaging their resources and the right organizations to address those needs to assure successful impact. Cindy shapes and approves the foundation’s strategies, reviews results, and sets the overall direction of the organization. She has over 25 years of experience in health, education and human services philanthropy, and currently serves on the Breast Cancer Research Foundation Board of Directors, the MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors, Elon University Board of Trustees, and AIND/Giants Steps School for Autism Board of Directors.

Sloan Overstrom is a designer and co-owner of Mecox Gardens Pittsburgh, a home, antiques and design store in Shadyside. Sloan is currently serving as co-chair of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation’s Masterpiece of Hope Campaign, which raises funds to support the Creative and Expressive Arts Therapy program at the hospital.

She and her husband, Alex, also served as members of the Foundation’s 125th Anniversary Gala Host Committee. She is a member of the Associates Committee of the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and serves as a Chair of the Director’s Council of the Museum of the City of New York.

Kevin Rabbitt is chief executive officer of NEP Group, the leading provider of total technical solutions serving the broadcast and live events industries. With operations across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, NEP serves as the technical partner to premiere content producers for live sports, unscripted entertainment and award shows, concert tours, music festivals, and corporate events. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Kevin joined NEP in 2012.

Prior to NEP, Kevin served as chief executive officer of 3 Day Blinds, a leading manufacturer and retailer of custom window coverings, headquartered in Irvine, California. Prior to that, Kevin was chief executive officer of Global Experience Specialists, a face-to-face marketing and event services company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kevin has also worked as a consultant with Bain and Company.

Dena Rantin LaMar is vice president of GetGo Cafe & Market and Giant Eagle Express. With over 20 years of sales, operations, retail, customer experience, and financial services/banking experience, she is responsible for the overall operational success, P/L, and people leadership for the GetGo banner. GetGo Cafe & Market and Giant Eagle Express operate in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Indiana. Dena joined the Giant Eagle family in June 2016 as a VP of Special Projects.

Prior to Giant Eagle, Dena was with Walmart Corporation where she was the Regional General Manager for Pennsylvania, responsible for the operational success of multiple markets, increasing market share and topline sales, customer experience, people leadership, and P&L. Her footprint consisted of all stores west of Philadelphia to the Ohio border with over 8 billion dollars in yearly sales and 35,000 Walmart Associates.
