PITTSBURGH — After undergoing an extensive brand positioning study, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation will now be doing business as UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation. In addition to the new name, the Foundation has updated its logo, colors, and style.
While the name and look are new, UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s mission remains the same: to be the catalyst that unites communities and contributors to create healthier futures for all children through life-changing care and cutting-edge research. As the sole fundraising arm of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, the Foundation supports their vision of being the world leader in pediatric health care, education, and discovery.
This exciting brand refresh positions us to match the growth and reputation of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and to secure increasingly greater support for children’s health through the work of UPMC Children’s,” said Rachel Petrucelli, President, UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation. “UPMC Children’s was founded in philanthropy, and for over 130 years has provided life-changing care, cutting-edge research and advancements in technology that have benefitted children not only here in the Pittsburgh region, but around the world."
UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation maintains a separate 501(c)(3) designation from the hospital with a separate board of trustees. Philanthropic support helps UPMC Children’s to provide or enhance programs and services that are not reimbursed by insurance, to grow research and invest in innovation, and to enhance care that treats the whole child in a patient and family-centered approach.
