The Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation Board of Trustees appointed two new members this month, Alba Tull and Walter Turner.
Alba Tull serves as CEO of Tull Investment Group, a privately-held fund that manages an array of investments such as Zoox, Heal, and Blend Systems, among others.
She is a multi-disciplined fine art gallery and commercial photographer as well as a film director who has established herself in the industry by working with iconic personalities.
Alba chairs the Tull Family Foundation, which she founded with her husband Thomas to support education, life sciences, and wildlife conservation. Alba serves on the Board of Directors of the Carnegie Science Center, The Rett Syndrome Research Trust, The Jackie Robinson Foundation, media company Girlgaze, and the AS Roma Soccer Team, where she is part of the ownership team.
Walter Turner served as president and chief executive officer of Koppers Holdings and Koppers, Inc. from February 1998 through his retirement in December 2014. He joined Koppers in 1969 working in various positions in the controller’s department. In 1992, Turner was elected vice president and manager of marketing and development for Industrial Pitches and Related Products and in 1995 was elected vice president and general manager of the Carbon Materials and Chemicals Division.
Turner serves as a Trustee for the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and as a member of the Washington City Mission Board of Directors. He formerly served as a member of the Koppers Board of Directors, a director for the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and as president of the Duquesne Club.
“We are thrilled to have Alba and Walt join the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation Board. We are continuously searching for new board members who are willing to share their talent, time, and treasure with us, and Alba and Walt exemplify that spirt of philanthropy,” said Clifford Rowe Jr., chair, Foundation Board of Trustees. “We are so proud of Children’s standing as a top charity in the region where talented individuals like Alba and Walt can lend their considerable leadership skills.”
