Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation Announces Kelley Skoloda as New Board Member

PITTSBURGH - Kelley Skoloda, founder and CEO of KS Consulting & Capital LLC, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.

Skoloda is a recognized authority on brand marketing and marketing to women. Her current clients include national organizations such as the American Dental Association, Cancer Be Glammed and LifeX Ventures. She is also a co-founding member and co-chair of the Investment Committee for the Next Act Fund, an angel investing organization that focuses on women-led, early-stage companies.

“With her strong marketing background, we are excited to have Kelley join our Board to offer creative insight and ideas to further enhance our brand,” said Clifford Rowe Jr., chair, Foundation Board of Trustees. “Our goal is to provide the most advanced care for children and adolescents, and we know that she will bring an inspired vision to advance that mission.”

Previously, Skoloda was a partner and director of global brand marketing for Ketchum, a global PR firm. She launched “Cause Consumer Engagement,” a proprietary study on cause marketing and purpose-driven engagement with brands. Her work was recognized globally with a Cannes Gold Lion Grand Prix award for the Whirlpool “Care Counts” campaign.

Skoloda’s business book, Too Busy to Shop: Marketing to Multi-Minding Women, was named a “must read” by Publishers Weekly. She is an experienced speaker and presenter, appearing at global venues such as the Consumer Electronics Show, M2W, Marketing to Gen Z, Swipe Right and the PRSA International Conference.

Skoloda has been named one of the “Most Influential Women in Business” by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and was voted into the PRSA Pittsburgh Hall of Fame. She currently serves on the Excela Health board of trustees and has served on the BlogHer/SheKnows and Women@NBCU advisory boards, the Seton Hill University board of trustees, and as a member of The TODAY Show Parenting Network.

She has also been quoted and her work has been featured in the Huffington Post, Time.com, TODAY.com, Fortune.com, Forbes, Adweek, Brandweek, C-SPAN and other media outlets.

The Board of Trustees is currently made up of 47 members, led by chair Clifford Rowe Jr., executive chairman of P. J. Dick-Trumbull-Lindy Paving, who has served on the board since 2011. The current vice chair is Mark Snyder, corporate secretary and director, Snyder Associated Companies, Inc.
