Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC Opens Specialty Care Center in Beaver County Region To Expand Access to Pediatric Care

PITTSBURGH, PA - August 8, 2012 - Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC has opened a new specialty care center in Beaver County, improving access to pediatric subspecialty care for families in that region by having physicians travel to the center on a regular basis.

Children’s Hospital Specialty Care Center Chippewa offers convenient access to highly skilled specialists who will travel to the center to provide outpatient services, including diagnostic evaluations and follow-up care.

Outpatient services offered at Children’s Hospital Specialty Care Center Chippewa are:

  • Endocrinology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Nephrology
  • Pulmonary Medicine and Pulmonary Function Testing

In addition to the Chippewa location, Children’s operates three other specialty care centers in JohnstownHermitage, and Wheeling. Children’s will open an additional specialty care center later this month in Erie.
