Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC has recruited a new physician to lead its pediatric sports medicine program. Rajat Jain, M.D. will specialize in treating non-surgical fractures, strains and joint and muscle pain in children and teens.
While Dr. Jain will specialize in treating young athletes, his services will be available to all pediatric patients.
“Whether a child plays back yard kickball or is on a high school football team, Children’s Sports Medicine can treat their sports injuries with the same professional care you’ve come to expect from Children's Hospital,” said Dr. Jain, lead physician for Children’s Sports Medicine. “Our goal is to ensure all children receive proper treatment for their sports injury and help to speed recovery so they can safely return to their favorite activity.”

He has trained alongside the world-class physicians at UPMC Sports Medicine and has obtained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
