Pediatric Pain Management Clinic

Our Philosophy

The UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Pain Management Team is dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to children and adolescents with chronic pain. Our multidisciplinary team provides holistic and comprehensive service to restore daily function and wellness.

Your First Visit

Our team consists of a board-certified pain medicine anesthesiologist, physician assistant, psychologist, physical therapist, registered nurse (RN), and social worker.

New patient appointments last around two to three hours, the first visit includes assessments by each member of the team. After each team member has the opportunity to meet you, the team will meet to discuss and develop a plan of care that is specific to your needs.

Follow-up visits are approximately 30 minutes but may vary according to your treatment plan. Virtual visits are available for follow up care, however we do require at least one in-person visit every six months.
