In 2009, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh entered a new era with the opening of its new, technologically innovative campus. Built from the ground up, the $625 million, state-of-the-art clinical and pediatric research facilities combine advanced infrastructure and a multitude of family-centered features in 1.5 million square feet of space on 10 acres.
As one of only eight pediatric Leapfrog Top Hospitals for patient safety and the first pediatric hospital in the United States to earn a Stage 7 Award form HIMMS Analytics for achieving a virtually paperless patient record environment and the most comprehensive use of electronic medical records, UPMC Children’s Hospital is advancing the highest standards of excellence in pediatric care.
