eCheck-In for MyUPMC Users

A MyUPMC account is not required for eCheck-In. If you don't have a MyUPMC account, eCheck-In can be completed through an email or text message sent to the contact information on file.

The eCheck-In notifications are sent to the email address and/or cell phone number your provider’s office has on file for you.

Please make sure your contact information is up to date in MyUPMC or with your provider’s office.

Yes, if your appointment is at least one hour out from the time of scheduling, you should receive an eCheck-In link.

To view your child’s record, parents/legal guardians must first obtain MyUPMC Proxy Access.

MyUPMC Proxy Access allows parents/legal guardians access to their child’s health record through their patient portal account. Proxy access is available for parents/legal guardians from the birth of their child until the child’s 18th birthday.

To request proxy access for MyUPMC, a parent or legal guardian must first log in to their own MyUPMC account. Once logged in, select “Request Proxy Access” from the main menu.

You may also request access by talking to your child’s UPMC provider at their next appointment.

Your card will not be charged until after you’ve arrived at your provider’s office.
