Dr. Maria Escolar founded the Program for the Study of Neurodevelopment in Rare Disorders (NDRD) in 2000. She is known nationally and internationally for her groundbreaking work on assessing neurobehavioral outcomes of patients treated for neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Escolar has built a multidisciplinary full-time team that plays a crucial role in ensuring that all clinical, research, and educational activities run smoothly.
