Families who have a child with a craniofacial disorder can sometimes feel alone. This is normal. We work hard to connect you with families with similar conditions.
For the Cleft-Craniofacial Center staff, dealing with the emotional needs of children and their families is as important as dealing with the physical and medical needs of the patient.
Our team is also aware that sometimes the best medicine is to take a break from the medical setting. Annual events – including our family picnic -- have been created with this idea in mind. This is an opportunity for patient and their parents and siblings to gather and talk with others who are facing a similar journey.
