Contact Us

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is committed to safety and excellence in the care of our children and family members. Our tireless efforts towards improvement are enhanced by the support and feedback of our families.

At Children’s Hospital, we take pride in the bond that we form with each child and their family. It’s a privilege to be a partner in the care of your child, and we look forward to the opportunity to make the lives of our patients and families better.

In order to improve, we need your feedback. We want to know how we are doing and we want you, the family member, to have a voice. Your concerns, suggestions, and compliments are always encouraged for discussion.

While we always encourage you to speak directly with your child’s team, the following resources are also available to you:

  1. If you have a concern or observation regarding the safety of a patient, you can call the Patient Safety Hotline at 412-692-4999. You may remain anonymous or leave your name for updates. Our safety team will review the call and direct it to the appropriate resource. All calls are monitored and reviewed daily.
  2. If you have a privacy (HIPAA) complaint or a compliance-related complaint, you can call the UPMC Corporate Compliance hotline at 1-877-983-8442. While you may choose to be anonymous, based on the complaint, some additional information may be necessary for it to be adequately investigated. Calls are directed to the appropriate office for follow up.
  3. You can call Condition Help at 412-692-3456 to have your child evaluated by a special medical team if there are concerns about a patient's condition after a parent or patient has spoken with the nurse, physician or other medical team member.

Please know that we care. Our tireless work is to make your stay a better one and to ensure that we address all needs of both our children and their family. Thank you for your interest in our hospital.
