At UPMC Children’s Express Care, we are dedicated to caring for your child during this time of COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus. First and foremost, we want you to know that we are here for your family. We are making some operations changes as of Thursday, March 19, 2020 to limit patient risk while your child is visiting our locations.

  • We encourage you to save your spot in line before you arrive through the UPMC Children’s app or on our website. This will help to minimize your wait.
  • Once you arrive at our clinic, we ask that you please stay in your car and call us at the numbers listed below. For everyone's safety, we are asking that patients do not wait in the waiting room. If you arrive at one of our clinics and do not have access to a car, please notify a staff member so you can receive further direction.
  • Should you choose not to use Save My Spot, please call the number below when you arrive at our location. Our staff will register you over the phone to secure your spot in line. We anticipate significant wait times if you choose to register upon arrival.
  • If you do not have a phone, you may come into the site to register, but ask that you return to your car to wait for your visit.
  • After registration, you will receive a phone call from one of our providers. They will discuss your child's symptoms to determine if a virtual visit (one that you will do from your car with your smart phone and video chat) or a full physical exam in needed within our clinic.
  • If a face-to-face visit is needed, we will call or text you when an exam room is available for your child to be seen.

It is important to know that we do not test for COVID-19 at any UPMC Children’s Express Care location. If you think your child has symptoms consistent with COVID-19, we recommend you contact your child's pediatrician.
