About the Telemedicine Center

The Telemedicine Center at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh enables more convenient and timely access to pediatric services than traditional in-person office encounters.

By leveraging video conferencing technology, UPMC Children's Hospital is able to seamlessly connect rural and outreach communities with our highly-skilled doctors. The need for telemedicine services can range from providing outpatient visits in a rural setting to remote training and education for nurses and physicians at a community hospital.

The Telemedicine Center is located on the fifth floor of the main hospital building on UPMC Children's Lawrenceville campus.

The  opening of the Telemedicine Center is a key building block to future outreach efforts of UPMC Children’s Hospital to efficiently deliver specialty care to children that currently have limited access to pediatric specialty services.
