UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is committed to providing transparent information regarding our quality, data, and outcomes to patient families and clinical and research peers.

These graphs show the rate of central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSIs) per patient day in three inpatient units at UPMC Children’s. CLABSIs occur when germs enter the bloodstream through a central line catheter and cause illness in a patient.
