The research interests of Nabiha Shahid, MD, include comprehensive care and management of obesity and related comorbidities prevalent in youth. Under a grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, her primary research project focuses on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in adolescents with obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Shahid speaks English and her native language, Urdu, and she can understand and converse in Punjabi and Hindi.
