Intake/Evaluation Process

Any child recommended for a program at the Center for Independence must go through a screening process with staff at the center to determine eligibility.

  1. Call the center at 724-933-9286 for a phone screening to determine initial eligibility.
  2. Eligible candidates will have in-person evaluations with the primary services at the Center for Independence. Evaluations may be completed with Behavioral Health, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech-Language Pathology.
  3. A treatment plan will be established and the child will be referred to appropriate group or individual therapy.
