Children’s Hospital’s Brain Care Institute has a Neurofibromatosis Clinic that includes doctors from neurology from genetics, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and other related specialties. This multidisciplinary approach gives the clinic a more complete view of issues and treatment options. In addition, our dedicated NF social worker is available not only during the appointment, but also always available for social support and school advocacy and education. She visits schools to educate them about NF and will help advocate for any extra services needed at school.
