Francis Amrit Gandhi, PhD, completed his graduate studies at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where he looked at the evolutionary covariance of aging, immunity and stress tolerance among the Caenorhabditis species. Now, bitten by the aging bug he hopes to unravel factors that will contribute towards a better understanding of the molecular basis of aging.

Francis is a recipient of a UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Research Advisory Committee, post-doctoral fellowship as well as multiple awards for his poster and data presentations. Apart from science, Francis enjoys theatre and loves to travel. He is also on a quest to educate his American colleagues about the game of cricket.
