Blood and Marrow Transplant Research Repository and Database

Protocols for a Research Database and Sample Repository for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation, Other Cellular Therapies and Marrow Toxic Injuries

Protocol Description

These programs by the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR), maintains a comprehensive database of medical information, including treatment outcomes, from patients who have had hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) or other cellular therapy. It also collects and preserves blood samples from these individuals. Among other factors, the research database is intended to help investigators better understand how well recipients recover from their transplant or cellular therapy, how donor and recipient genetics impact recipient recovery after a transplant or cellular therapy, how well donors recover from the collection procedures. It can also help investigators better understand tissue matching for related and unrelated donors and recipients.

Eligibility Criteria

Subject to certain exclusion criteria, this study is enrolling participants of both genders of any age, who will be receiving HSCT or cellular therapy.
Males and Females: Any age

Requirements

Medical data about each participant’s disease and transplant or cellular therapy will be sent to the CIBMTR by the participant’s doctor, before and after transplant and cellular therapy and thereafter annually. A small blood sample will be collected from participants prior to the start of a conditioning regimen to be added to the sample repository.
Visits: None beyond normal clinical care for the condition
Duration: Not applicable

Status: Open to Enrollment
